Could we lobby Local Members during the run-up to the state election?

Under ACT law, workers who recklessly fail to prevent behaviour that causes serious harm to another can be fined $220,000 and jailed for seven years.

Just imagine what a difference it would make to the lives of Queensland teachers if this was law and enforced in Queensland.

At the moment bully principals seem to be supported and protected by other administrators.

A law like this would pressure them to put a stop to the bullying.

Of course the law would need to be enforced - and that would take leadership.

Could we lobby local members in the run-up to the state election?

Just read your post. To Lobby MP's we need the List of MP's and their email addresses.
How is the law working in ACT?
We will have another election at some point.

It is our obligation as a Public Service employee to Report. It is a pity the Leaders we report to lack skills. As a responsible Public Servant I have done the right thing. Even though they whitewash the inquiries, I still did the correct thing according to process. I have high standards, I dislike waste of tax payers money and always want the best for the students. I now see my task (even though I have resigned) to seek improvement. So I am so glad this website exists. I see my task now not as to teach but to lobby.

I totally agree with you about the place of the union in supporting teachers(not supporting) teachers when a Principal is out of order. There is no hope for the teacher, so it is pointless contacting the Union. In fact I would go so far as to say the Union Rep tips off the Principal, so that compounds the situation. In fact at that point it might be called mobbing. The trouble is you have to collect evidence and prove it. I don't remember any training at Teachers College or University about preparing for record keeping for bullying incidents on myself. I also don't remember much bullying in my first 15 years teaching.

I have been the victim of a bullying principal, and now I can't even get relief work. We need laws to rid our society of this canker. These people are incapable of their jobs and yet get promoted. I think we should also have a campaign to ask teachers to resign from the UNION. They work for EQ, and do not have the teachers best interest at heart when it comes to member v member, and yet are charging $200 + for the privilege of ....... what?
